Spring 2012 Ba Da Mountain material. Entirely old plantation material from trees and bushes growing naturally. Nice solid mouth-feel and vibrant active cha qi! Aroma is flowers... the taste is mushroomy with a nice balanced round feel to it!
San He Zhai is a powerful tea that is intended for longer term aging. It has bitterness and astringency, but this is balanced by a textured, filling and lubricating mouth-feeling that stays with the drinker well after the tea session has ended.
Made entirely from Jing Mai mountain area ripened pu-erh tea. Entirely 2013 spring harvest tea was processed through a special decoction process this concentrated pu-erh tea cha gao was made. They were then warmed to make soft and pressed into these lovely 0.5 gram single serving cha gao bricks!
A remote natural tea garden on steep mountainside with just a few hundred trees but all more than 100 years old. Many as old as 400 years old. All large leaf varietal. The tea was picked and processed all in early April.
Entirely first flush of Spring material from Xin Zhai village outside of Yi Wu town. Tea trees ranging from 100 to 200 years old! Classic Yi Wu Ancient Arbor taste. Smooth and full mouth-feel, strong and thick aroma.
Spring 2013 harvest from Xiang Ming village in the north of Yi Wu Mountain area. A naturally occuring mixed leaf size hybrid from 80 to 100 years old tea trees. Nice buttery thick mouthfeel with a little astringency but expansive and active in the mouth. Very unique taste and feel!
A new recipe for 2013! We used first flush wild and ancient arbor material from 4 different tea mountains in Simao to craft this lovely tea cake. "Feng Chun" basically means "Meeting Spring" which is appropriate because the overall character of this tea is a fresh, lively, floral and smooth!
Tea from this region is well-known for it's beautiful appearance, and tea sellers have been know to blend this tea with Yi Wu tea to make it (Yi Wu tea) more beautiful and bright in appearance while at the same time bolstering it's sweetness and thickness.
